Herman Wagnleithner joined Qatalyst as a Research Analyst in September 2023. He attended Wilfrid Laurier University, where he completed his Bachelor of Economics with a Research Specialization in 2021 and his Master of Business Economics in 2023. Herman has a passion for research and economic analysis developed while conducting independent thesis papers and working as a Policy Analyst with Employment and Social Development Canada. His thesis on gender disparities in labour market outcomes received the Peter Sinclair Undergraduate Research Prize from Laurier in the fall of 2020. While his MA thesis focused on the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on the job tenure and turnover intention of Canadian Nurses. While working at ESDC, Herman was responsible for supporting the development of national work plan products, conducting economic analysis, and providing labour market insight to be posted on the Government of Canada Job Bank website.
