Matthew Yau joined Qatalyst as a Research Analyst in October 2024. He graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology, followed by a Master’s Degree in Data Science from the University of British Columbia. During his time at the University of Toronto, he worked three years as a research assistant, focused on discovering effective and ineffective techniques people use to improve wellbeing. His skillsets, from his education and experience, include quantitative analytics (e.g., inferential statistics, predictive analytics), qualitative analytics, and data visualization (creating dashboards). He is excited to bring his research and data science skills to improve research and analytics processes at Qatalyst.
